‍Test rigs and jigs are fundamental for developing new technology.  These need to be accurate, able to simulate production methods and test real world situations. We have been involved in simple proof of principle rigs that are designed to quickly assess which of several concepts is the most likely to work quickly, through to equipping full test centres with pneumatically operated automated test machines designed to run multiple tests at 250,000 cycles each (also known as destruction testing). A large number of these devices have been constructed over the years and utilised in developing a range of devices in a number of industry sectors.
