• Machine prototype parts in production materials • Outsource the manufacture of parts where specialist techniques are necessary • Assemble the device to the engineering drawings • Provide feedback on failures to the design team • Assess form and fit of the parts • Suggest refinements to give a premium user experience • Advise on manufacturing methods to reduce the parts count and costs • Liaise with specialists within the engineering team on how they intended their element to function • Undertake standalone areas of research such as deflection measurements to confirm the software FEA analysis
